Living in new mexico can be hard on your skin and hair if you come from a humid place like me. I got turned onto Lalicious by a salesgirl at Nordstrom in San Francisco. We were raving over lotions and she said that Lalicious makes the best bath products and your skin will be so soft.
She was right!

The coffee bean and coconut smell heavenly in a hot shower and when you rinse off the product it is not so slippery like many other body scrubs with high oil consistency. They sell a sample pack with three small containers. Also on http://www.b-glowing.com they sell travel size to try them out as well.
I don't like harsh cleansers when it is so dry outside so I tend to gravitate more towards the oil based or really moisturizing items. While in Telluride, I bought some soap by a company called Tomboy soap www.tomboysoap.com . The eucalyptus was very refreshing as was the peppermint. For hannukah this year I purchased some soaps made in northern israel called Sabon http://www.sabonnyc.com/ they came in a really cute basket that can be reused for other things. They smell very nice and not too flowery. They also had this great facial scrub that makes your skin glow. I have rosacea so I only use mild products on my face and Sabon was really good.
Well, besides the soap and scrubs I love moisturizing shampoos. Recently after a trip to Honey child spa in chicago http://www.spasalon.com/honeychild/ I fell in love with Ojon products. The shampoo, conditioner and shine are all light enough for any hair. The hair treatment though works best on thick hair like mine. I would not reccomend very fine hair people to try it. It smells so amazing you just want to keep it on all night.... http://www.ojonhaircare.com/
You can purchase it at sephora and beauty first if you are in albuquerque, spa look and amazon.com also carry the products. I am also a big fan of the moisturizing line of pureology
http://www.pureology.com/ they are amazing for everyday use and smell and feel so good. The moisturizing conditioner is minty and tingles your scalp a little.
Once out of the shower I love trader joes lavender oil or molton brown spray oil. The heavenly ginger shimmer oil smells like sweet ginger and lily. It glistens on your skin but not in a trashy way. Looks very nice on bare legs any time of year.

Cedar light, http://www.cedarlight.com has a great line of cedar scented lotions. If you have ever been to the spa at tamaya at the Hyatt here in new mexico then you are well acquainted with this line. The smell is addictive and brings your mind to a place that I don't know where it is located, but we all go there once in a while. It is not overwhelming like brightly colored potpourri or those room sprays. You can visit the factory and store in placitas m-f . If you happen to be in the area on a saturday and want to visit, the number is on the website and they live on the premises and are more than happy to let visitors in during off hours.
Some perfumed lotions are not very moisturizing, but the narcisco rodriquez one does not dissapoint in scent or feel.

My other favorite that I am sorry is unavailable unless you go to the hotel is the Malmaison line at their hotels.
http://www.malmaison.com These are small boutique hotels located throughout the UK and Ireland. They have amazing service and linens. The staff are so helpful and the food is always good in their restaurants. If you happen to find yourself in Birmingham next to the Mailbox building, try the brasserie in the Malmaison next door. The amazing thing about the Malmaison is that they give FULL size bottles of lotion, shampoo, conditioner and you can take them home. The lotion is so light and moisturizing. It smells like honeysuckle which is very wonderful. I don't think they will be selling them online, so if a trip includes a stop in the UK...please stay at this charming hotel chain.
I will devote another post to favorite lotions another time, but this was what was on my mind this fine morning. I know I said I would write about my favorite lush products, but that will wait till I return next week. I look forward to checking the new perfumes at Barneys as they carry many that are exclusive to their store only. I am also looking forward to going to the Sabon store in NYC to see what else they offer....who knows, I always seem to find new and delicious products wherever I go.
Until next week...
